Referrals

Referrals can be faxed to our confidential medical fax line at (306) 900-6700. Please fax a printout of the EHR and relevant information related to the presenting symptomology, recent medication management, services requested, and reasons for referral.

STG La Ronge accepts referrals for children who are considered at risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder:

Children 11 Months to 60 Months (4 Age Groups)

Age-specific Screening and Interventions

Please refer children with a valid treaty number at the moment. We are currently finalizing other referral funding streams. Early intervention is Key! The younger a child is referred the better. For each age group (11-15 Months; 16 - 22 Months; 23 - 30 Months; 31 - 60 Months), STG Therapists use age-specific screening instruments and provide interventions that are appropriate to the child's developmental age.HI

Children aged 5 - 12 Years

Children referred will be added to the waitlist. Please make sure to explain this to the parents/caregivers at the time of your consultation.

Screening services will consist of two steps, with a screener being completed by the parents and then a follow-up interview to determine if the child is at risk of ASD. Depending on the symptomology, specialised intervention can follow, depending on the child's needs. One such program is CBT for Anxiety for children with Autism.

Teens

Services start in January 2025.

Services for teens will be rolling in January 2025. Any teens referred will be added to the Teens waitlist. Please make sure to explain this to the parents/caregivers at the time of your consultation.
